2023 Te Pa Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, NZ) 2W

This wine delivers aromatics of nectarine, lime, florals and hints of toasted spice. The palate is concentrated and precise, with citrus, black currant, fresh herbs and grilled pineapple flavors. This wine possesses crisp, refreshing acidity and a touch of chalky minerality. A great match with all seafood, particularly shellfish. The crisp flavors work well with fresh summer salads or soft goat cheese.

    About The Varietal

    Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a white-wine grape originating from western France, and it has achieved success in both emerging and established wine regions globally. This grape variety is known for producing lightly colored, aromatic, and dry white wines with a refreshing acidity.

    About The Producer

    Haysley MacDonald

Haysley MacDonald was not always a grape grower and wine producer. His family has deep historical ties to the Marlborough region, dating back to the early Maori settlers around 800 years ago. Transitioning from traditional hunting and gathering to modern agriculture by the 19th century, the land—near the original landing site—was used for beef and dairy farming and later for potato cultivation in the 1990s. The MacDonald family’s potato business became a significant supplier of pre-cut frozen chips, with locals remembering young Haysley helping his father, Phillip, deliver bags of chips to local restaurants, pubs, and cafes.
