The Abbey of Cîteaux played a foundational role in developing the vineyards of Burgundy. Historical documents indicate that this Pommard vineyard called “En Espeneaul” (now known as “Epenots”) was donated to them in 1260. In tribute to the Abbey’s significant past, this Cuvee is named after Dom Goblet, the Abbey’s last cellarer, who served until the French Revolution.
