    Sold out

The aroma is refined and intricate, featuring ripe red and black berries, hints of violets and lavender, and leather, spice, and vanilla. The taste is full-bodied and rich, with soft, sweet tannins and a silky smooth texture. It offers multiple layers of rich cassis, black currant, and blackberries, accented by notes of licorice and black pepper. Excellent minerality, fine-grained tannins, and vibrant acidity characterize the long finish.

    About The Varietal

    Malbec

The dark and inky black-blue grape variety, Malbec, originates from Cahors in South West France. However, due to its remarkable success, particularly in the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina, Malbec has transitioned from relative obscurity to achieving international recognition. It is now primarily renowned as the iconic wine grape of Argentina.

    About The Producer

    Catena Alta

In 1994, Nicolás Catena created the first premium Malbec from Argentina to be exported globally. After fifteen years of vineyard research and three years of winery experimentation, he and his daughter Laura decided to bottle the first Catena Malbec. Over the next two years, they identified the best vineyard rows for Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Malbec, producing the first Catena Alta wines in limited quantities. Catena Alta remains a small production of single-varietal wines from select vineyard rows, with rigorous barrel selection. These wines are typically ready to drink three years after harvest and can last one to two decades.
