2020 Catena Adrianna Vineyard "Fortuna" Malbec (Mendoza, AR) 7R

Fortuna Terrae, translating to "luck of the land" in Latin, aptly describes our vines within the Adrianna Vineyard parcel. These vines truly thrive in this fortunate environment. The fertile loamy soils are host to a diverse array of native grasses, which not only prevent erosion but also attract beneficial insects, harmonious songbirds, and the occasional mountain fox. Thanks to the refreshing influence of the deep soils and high-altitude location, the wines produced from Fortuna Terrae boast an ideal balance of acidity and delicate floral aromas. For the best experience, it's recommended to savor this wine a few years or even decades after its harvest, allowing its unique qualities to fully unfold over time.

    About The Varietal

    Malbec

The dark and inky black-blue grape variety, Malbec, originates from Cahors in South West France. However, due to its remarkable success, particularly in the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina, Malbec has transitioned from relative obscurity to achieving international recognition. It is now primarily renowned as the iconic wine grape of Argentina.
