2019 Morlet "Ma Douce" Chardonnay (Sonoma, CA) 7W

    97 points - Jeb Dunnuck

"The Morlet 2019 Chardonnay Ma Douce is a beauty, and it has a slightly richer style than the 2020 while staying pure, focused, and elegant. Gorgeous honeysuckle, white flowers, toasted bread, and stone fruits emerge from the glass, and it's medium to full-bodied and flawlessly balanced, with integrated acidity and a great finish. It's brilliant today with air yet will benefit from a year in bottle and have at least a decade of longevity." JD

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Morlet

Luc Morlet represents the fifth generation of a French winemaking family who left France in 1996 to join his wife Jodie in California. With the Morlet wine label, the couple utilizes the old-world principles of Luc’s home in France in St. Helena, California. Morlet’s wines are consistently some of our favorites, showing harmony in their intensity, richness, and complexity.
