2019 Domaine Saladin "Loi" Cotes du Rhone (Rhone Valley, FR) 6R

This is a pretty, perfumed, classic Cotes du Rhone offering a bouquet of dried flowers, spice, and red berries. All of the fruit comes from a single plot of 40-50 year old vines, is aged in concrete and bottled unfiltered. Utterly drinkable and refined.

    About The Varietal

    Carignan

Carignan is a grape variety with dark skin, believed to have originated in Aragon. This grape is prevalent in wines produced along the Mediterranean coast, particularly in northeastern Spain and the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It is frequently used for blending with other significant regional grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre.
